Hyde Park Streetscape, Chicago, IL

The Hyde Park Streetscape project is the first phase of the Lake Park Blvd Streetscape and Viaduct Improvements Project. The project spans from 53rd Street to 55th Street in Chicago, IL. As a result of this construction, the viaducts were transformed into urban art passage ways.
Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino, Hammond, IN

The Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino, located in Hammond, IN, underwent major renovations completed in August 2008. The portion of the work for which Rausch was responsible was the Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino Replacement Project, which involved marine construction and bridge work.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza, Chicago, IL

The Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Plaza was the first phase of the Chicago Department of Transportation’s Chicago Riverwalk Project. The Memorial is located in the Wabash Plaza, between Wabash Avenue and State Street along Wacker Drive. The scope of work included demolition, earth excavation/ backfill, concrete work, landscaping, lighting, and architectural stone work.
Chicago Shoreline Storm Damage Reduction - Reach 4, Chicago, IL

Timeframe: 2000 – 2002
This project consisted of improvements to the Lake Michigan Shoreline in Chicago, between 33rd Street and 37th Street. Sheet piling, concrete work, and stone backfill and revetment were installed to ensure that the shoreline was strengthened to withstand the harsh marine conditions to which it is consistently subjected. The construction of this project was coordinated between the City of Chicago Department of Environment, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Chicago Park District. Rausch Construction Company, Inc. was awarded the Midwest Construction Award of Merit in the Landscape Division in 2002 for this project.
