On Wednesday, December 2, 2009 Rausch Construction Company, Inc. was honored with two awards at the Midwest Construction’s Best of the 2009 Award Ceremony. Jackson Drive Bridge received an Award of Merit under the Civil Division and the Wabash Avenue Underbridge Connection and Riverwalk received Project of the Year in the Landscape/Urban Design division.

Midwest Construction’s Best of 2009 award competition attracted a record-tying 129 entries. The contest recognizes excellence in heavy construction and design in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, and Minnesota. The entries were sorted into categories and were judged on project management, quality, innovation, challenges overcome, safety, and impact to the community and the construction industry.

Rausch congratulates both the Jackson and Riverwalk project teams including the Chicago Department of Transportation, DLK, K-Plus Engineering, Benesch, Ross Barney Architects, Jacobs/Ryan, and Collins Engineering.
